Coaching to drive MSL excellence
This webinar is the 5th in our 2021 webinar series, ‘MSL Excellence – Adapting to the new normal’. In this session we continued to focus on the key building blocks of MSL excellence. At One MSL, we recognise the need for everyone within the Medical Affairs function to be continuously developing their skills in order to meet the needs of the healthcare environment, but this isn’t something that can necessarily be achieved alone.    Enter the “coach” – coaching has been talked about for decades as a development option for individuals, regardless of where they sit within an organisation. But does coaching really happen, who provides it and how effective is it?   In the final webinar in this series, we explored these and further questions with another varied group of industry panelists:   -Jessica Purcell, Head Medical Excellence and Governance, Asia Pacific, Takeda  -Dr. Maja Beilmann-Schramm, Director, Global Field Medical Excellence & HCP Exchange, Merck -Mark Macdonald, Global MSL Centre of Excellence, Eli Lilly  -Dr. Maya Sharma, Global Medical Director, Win Medicare, Modi Mundipharma & Signutra  -Andrew Hewitson, EMEA MSL Director, Kyowa Kirin   We hope you enjoy the recording! Handling conflict with confidence – Patricia Soler
Welcome to a One Community webinar recording for everyone led by One MSL Consultant Patricia Soler. We have all experienced the stress that comes from having unresolved conflicts with our colleagues, family or friends. Conflicts that are ignored or resolved badly don’t go away – they cause people to feel resentful and to avoid each other. This webinar goes directly to the heart of this problem. We addressed: -The reality that conflict is inevitable, unavoidable – even healthy. The existence of conflict is not the problem, but the way we tackle it can create challenges -How to listen to others’ points of view for better understanding and improved relations  -How to express needs and problems openly and honestly without blame, criticism or finger-pointing We hope you enjoy the recording! The Power of Four in early Life-cycle Engagement
Findings from our 2022 Global Survey show that MSLs are engaging externally as early as Phase 1 of the clinical development programme. This finding led to a conversation between Helen Kane, Paul Reynolds, Sanda Rocak & Esther Nzenza, in which they started to explore what MSLs and the wider team needed to know and do to be effective in early life-cycle engagement. It is evident that there is significant scope to collaborate earlier across medical affairs, marketing, market access and clinical development to fully unleash the power of all four. From that single conversation grew the idea for a webinar where they would meet to discuss a number of relevant questions around the opportunities and challenges which can exist for any organisation. We hope that you enjoy the episode!  One MSL Community Team https://www.onemsl.com/
